Surface Preparation

• Clean the surface of grease, concrete curing agents, cement slurry, concrete debris and other impurities

• Apply Acotile 22 on a clean, hard and flat surface. For porous and friable surfaces, apply 1 or 2 layers of Acobond A530 primer to harden the surface before apply Acotile 22

• If the old surface needs to be re-tiled, the old mortar must be cleaned first to avoid affecting the adhesion effect

Mixing

• Mix thoroughly Acotile 22 with about 23 - 26% clean water (depending on the construction environment temperature)

• Depend on the size of the tile to choose the notch of the trowel. Plaster the mixed mortar on the surface, create ribs on the mortar surface with a U-shaped or Square notched trowel

• Paste the tile in the correct position, press and hammer firmly with a rubber hammer, wait until the mortar is dry and hard, then continue to apply the tile grout Acotile TG1

Note

• In case the construction area is too large, it should be divided into separate areas to avoid the mortar drying before paste the tiles due to the influence of weather and temperature

• Do not apply on a surface that is too wet

• The maximum time allowed for applying mixed mortar is 30 minutes

• The allowable temperature for construction is from 50C to 35°C
