Product Description

Acotile 28 is a 2-component tile adhesive product based on Cement and Polymer. After mixing, it will form a thick and homogeneous mixture used for tile bonding and grouting

Application

  • Acotile 28 is used for bonding tiles and stones for swimming pools, bathrooms, Jacuzzis, water tanks and wet areas

Safety and Health Protection

  • Keep out of reach of children

  • Wear gloves, masks and protective equipment when mixing and applying

  • Mix in a well-ventilated area, avoid breathing dust when mixing

  • Avoid contact with skin and eyes: If contact with eyes: Rinse eyes under running water for at least 15 minutes. Go to the nearest medical facility immediately; If contact with skin: Change protective clothing, clean the skin contact area with water several times. Clean protective clothing again before use

Using Instructions

Surface Preparation

  • The surface must be clean, dry, flat and hard

  • Remove all foreign matter adhering to the surface

  • The surface must be able to bear the weight of the materials used for construction

Concrete surface:

  • New concrete surface can only be applied after 28 days. Remove dirt, stains such as grease with water-based detergent and wire brush. Clean and dry the surface before applying

  • Old concrete surface must be free of dust, impurities and cement debris.
    If necessary, clean with water and let dry before applying

Mortar surface: 

  • New mortar surface must be allowed to dry for at least 3 weeks before applying.
    Remove all impurities adhering to the surface with a brush and clean with water-based detergent

  • Defects and voids on the surface must be removed or repaired with repair mortar

Mixing

  • Put the liquid component into a clean container and slowly add the powder component, using an electric mixer with a suitable blade to mix. Mix well until the mixture is homogeneous and lump-free

  • If the construction site weather is hot or windy, the powder ingredients can be reduced to facilitate construction

Construction

  • Use a flat-bladed steel trowel to apply the Acotile 28 mixture to the construction surface, then use a specialized tile adhesive trowel with a notch suitable for the tile size to flatten or create ribs. Stick and press the tile firmly into the correct position, use the trowel handle or a rubber hammer to tap lightly to fix the tile

  • Acotile 28 can also be applied on the back of the tile. Both methods are suitable for large or small tiles
